searching for birthmother

Anyone have experience with performing a search for their natural birthmother? Been at this sooo long... keep running into dead ends- birth records are sealed upon separation for protection of both parties.
Any help or suggestions welcome.

Tell whoever has your birth records you have a potential life threatning condition and need to find your birth mother

make sure to say potential since your not claiming you do...it's a legal wording I have come to love recently

Well, the 'person' who has my records would be the California Dept of Vital Stats. I was informed years ago (after thinking the same thing for a possible solution) that the Dr would be granted access to my records for purpose of health issues, however I would receive no info.
any other ideas? anyone else?

If you state your case like this "Infomation is needed to complete a medical background" you should be able to bypass any laws regarding privacy.

Also, if you have children or are planning [key word there] on having any you should know the blood types, medical history etc. Esp helpful for prenatal care, blood types etc.
