Scientist: Mind Continues After Brain Dies

June 29 — A British scientist studying heart attack patients says he is finding evidence that suggests consciousness may continue after the brain has stopped functioning and a patient is clinically dead.

Finally someone....

it's about time that was discovered. Somewhere in our defunct minds is a place that decides whether were dead or not. Sortof a conscious. Whenthe conscious believe's the body can no longer function, it shuts down all the interna organs, and the brain itself. The key is to figure out how to awaken this consicous, and restart the internal organs. Organs are involuntary so I believe the search should be conducted in the cerebellum.

Dude this is what I've been trying to tell everyone! Heaven is a place you create. You live a good life, witness good things, you get a good "after life". You commit murders, you see horrid things, you get a nightmare "after life". Once you die theres no heaven, you live in a state of unconciousness, like a dream. Sure your brain isn't held withen an organ, it floats freely in electric charges. There is already hard facts that the brain can exsist outside the organ, such as dogs being able to receive "messages" from owners when they are coming home.

Ok, this is just what I believe - flame on if you will but I don't flame your religous beliefs. I think if this is true then there has to be a way to communicate with the dead and bring the dead back to life, well atleast their state of mind. It would be interesting to find out if brain signals after death communicate with eachother, instead of going into a state of unconciousness. I mean this would all make sense, no? It would explain why people can communicate with the dead, they can read the brain signals. It would explain heaven and hell, it would explain the afterlife. But I guess we will never know sense theres only one way to test the theory .

As you can see I favor science over religion - but there is one thing I will admit, someone or something had to create the first atom that created the universe. I don't even want to try to figure that one out with science .
