Scar tissue concerns...

How many of you guys are concerned with scar tissue buildup?? Do you do anything to help it? (other than proper inj techniques) I am assuming it is inevitable, right? I am considering getting deep tissue massages to help prevent too much scar tissue from building up, but they are expensive and I want to ask you guys if you think its worth it??

It is a huge concern for me right now.I cant seem to take a shot anywere any more with out hitting some and it really sux.For this reason no more short esters ever again.

im havent been using for more than 2 years, but when inj. in my glutes i sometimes hit a spot where its actually kinda of hard to push the plunger on the pin. im assuming this is because of scar tissue. it sucks. damn prop.

eh. it's a price you pay. try adding other sites, like pecs, triceps & traps. give the other areas more time to heal up.

I think I've had 200 - 300 shots and I've never had a problem with scar tissue that I know of.

Well I went to give a shot in my outer thigh the other day and the stick itself hurt like a mother fucka. I pulled out changed pins and tried the other leg. Same thing. I hope its not scar tissue already.

Not to hijack the thread and if so Im sorry but can you give shots in the tops of your thighs? Anyone do this?

Never tried it (I prefer outer quads).

i wouldn't myself bro, lots of blood vessels there. tried once on first ever cycle and hit one, never again. not a good place to inject imo

ditto...stay away from the top of the thigh, you should have plenty of meat along the sides...you can hit the tear drop too, but be weary

Once you have scar tissue it won't go away. You can reduce the size of it but it will always be there unfortunatly.

Use smaller gauge pins, as small as you can get away with as well. That will lessen the amount of scar tissue build up you get.

I took care of a patient that had been getting IM shots of dilaudid morphine demerol phenergan or what ever he could get his hands on in the ER. He came to us and a doctor ordered 4 mg dilaudid and 50 mg phenergan IM. i went to give the shot which is a shit load of drugs/narcs and tried to go in his ass and the needle would not go through. I even had an 18gauge at one time trying to inject it. I had to go in his upper thigh close to his hip and it was still hard to go in.

I never asked a pro about scar tissue but after 10 years of doing it myself I run into problems and have bent a few pins.

I have done tops many times, however as others have said more veins, so you must be more careful
