Seems more and more booty boards are closing. the law is not new....just being more enforced. Will they hit boards like this as well ?


3 of my most favorite have shut down since the summer.

A new federal law aimed at stopping child pornography went into effect , but critics fear the changes would chill free speech.

Under the old regulations, anyone who produced sexually explicit material was required to keep records showing that the people depicted were over 18 years of age. The new regulations in 18 USC 2257 extend the record-keeping requirement to so-called “secondary producers,” or anyone who merely distributes sexually explicit materials.

The sites & other forms of secondary distributors can't guarantee that the pics they are showing are of women at least 18 years of age. If the Feds request documentation, they can't produce the information. Hence, the shut down.

All they have to do is become more professional & legally responsible. I'm sure their lawyers are thinking of ways to protect them. There are plenty. For example, demanding a copy of the list from the primary distributor or owner of said pics.

Don't worry, booty boards will not be eliminated from the net.

There's a way for Amateur sites to get around this too. I assume the pics are uploaded electronically. If so, the owner of the site can request that the person uploading the pics provide pics of photo id (I would request at least 2) electronically and make them sign an airtight waiver. Hopefully, the Feds will accept e-documents w/ e-signatures.

If the pics have to mailed in with a disclaimer, just have one available as a PDF copy on the site. Waiver (must be notarized), copies of photo id (Again, I would request at least 2) and pics must be mailed in the same enevelope.

Not much work at all. Its the owner of the sites problem, not the viewer.

Porn DVDs are too expensive (hence low sales). Unless you buy old ones from Video liquidators.

When a porn company makes a film they have to keep documentation (copies of I.D., signatures, etc.) of every actress and actor that they use. The Feds have a right to do a random "check" to make sure that these actors & actresses are at least 18.

The amended law now applies to secondary distributors of sexual material. That means, a board that shows sexual material has to document that the women & men in these pics are at least 18 y.o. Basically, because of how these sites are set up that's impossible for internet boards to do. Hence, why they are closing there Pics of Booty, Kitty, forums.

There is a way they can get around this. Or they can just move their servers overseas.
