Saw Palmetto - WTF ?

I figured that it is a good idea to add a little Saw palmetto to my
cycle (Test\Deca\Anavar)

I started taking it yesterday and noticed this on the label


"Consult Doctor if you are on hormonal therapy"

Well - DUH !

Anyone know why this is on here? I don't want to tell my MD about my cycle, but there must be a pretty damn good reason they would put this on the label. Any Ideas ?

Most likely because hormone therapy will increase the chances of prostate problems. Most guys that use saw palmetto want to reduce the impact of AS use on their prostate. Therefore, speaking to a doctor is recommended to reduce the chances of the company being sued for not preventing prostate related illnesses.

Not exactly accurate, the statement should read that SP acts as an anti-androgen in the prostate. It is tissue specific that's why it does you no good for preventing hair loss.

So, it's not anti-androgenic in the rest of the body? I was just about to get pissed, cuz, I started taking it a few days ago. I've never read anything on it being anit-androgenic. Please fill me in so if I need to I can stop taking it. I started taking it cuz, I've been pissing more than usual (which was a lot to begin with) but, I wanted to try it & see if it helped slow me down. I drink aprox 2 gal or more of water a day. It's hard to get good sleep at night. Thanx.......Supertech

Its main activity is acting to prevent the 5a reduction of test to dht and this activity seems to be limited to the prostate, i could post the study for those not inclined to look it up if necessary. So, go ahead and take it, i doubt that it will have any effect on your cycle(it has never seemed to bother mine!)
