Satalite Internet

Anyone use satalite connection for internet. I live where the is no reasonable form of bradband connection ( no DSL, ISDN, cable modem, nada!) I have been looking as DirectPC as a solution. Opinions?

I don't have it, but i thought that that only worked fast for downloads, uploads are still 56k.

The new "two-way" runs max both transmitting and recieving (I believe).

If that's the case then you would be running just as fast as cable and dsl, so go for it.

Starband carried 500k up and down but satelite has like a 3 sec lag so it sucks for gaming. T3, DSL and Cable much better IMO.
