Salt Substitute

I don't want to bloat up like salt makes you do. Is this ok to take salt substitute while trying to keep lean, sparingly that is, i mean it's not salt it's potassium chloride..who's the salt sub guru up in heeeya? :p

It's the sodium in salt (NaCl) that causes water retention

Salt substitute (KCl) don't contain sodium, so they don't cause WR
but some tastes not that good :worried:

Can anyone agree with him on this one? Is this true? Is salt sub absolutely ok to take as a bodybuilder trying to stay lean and no water retention? Thanks :chomp:

stupid posts cause gyno.

as for the original poster's question...

KCl and NaCl are both salts. The feared water retention is caused by increased levels of Na (sodium) in the body, which is usually caused by increased consumption of NaCl (table salt). Since water always follows Na, more Na in the body = more water in the body.

KCl is safe when taken orally. Inject the shit and you die.
