I made my own salsa over the weekend - oh my god, it's the best salsa ever!!! I know, I know - I'm tooting my own horn but it's awesome, so as a result I've eaten salsa on like....everything you can thin of this week.
7 ripe tomatoes, seeded and chopped
1 whole white onion chopped
1/2 bunch of fresh cilantro chopped
1 jalapeno chopped, no seeds for mild
1 small can of mild chilies
1/3 cup red wine vinegar
Season to taste with:
Season-All Salt
oregano
pepper
minced garlic
I promise it won't disappoint you! This makes a lot, I thought I would have to can some of it....but it's just about gone now
It's better the day after you make it.
For a little rant though - Sugar Free Hot Chocolate by Swiss Miss???? Okay, it's a trick - they put Splenda in it PLUS Maltodexrin....and the maltodextrin has a glycemic index of 105!!! Those bastards, I was excited about it for about half a second.
