for anyone who has dieted for an extended period of time and in particular, those who were able to drop to 8% or below:

Do you feel hafl-crazy in that you flip-flop between things you are looking better and then thinking you look like crap?

Saint and Sofa and I have touched on this b-4....jedi-mind tricks maybe??

Would you consider sending emailing pics every few days to let objective eyes see you?

Hamburgers and Fries....Hmmmm

I think your right though about the dieting.

hmmmmmm...I go form thinking "im gonn alook pretty damn good come Nov" to " Fuck I'm skinny/fat"

We used to have a thing we called "Gold's Venice" syndrome - that excrutiating over micro analysis of yourself against a standard that is too near perfection. It keeps you from seeing yourself the way the world sees you.

Hmmmmmm, Im bulking right now and I am calling myself "Fatty McButter Pants", so I guess that makes you "Fatty McSkinny Pants"

I hear ya Corn, I went through that as well, however not sure if I got below 8%, I made it to 9% maybe lower. I had those same issues everyday.

I have them now too that I am gaining again.

along with many things I wish I had the time/energy to program - one I had an idea for was a web page that allowed you to point a java applet at a directory of images.
it would then cycle through them at an ajustable rate.

that way, you could take a pic of yourself in the exact same place every day/week/whatever, with the same lighting, and then name the file 001.jpg, 002.jpg, etc.
it would then allow you to watch the progression over time and see the changes that you miss when you see yourself all the time with nothing to compare it to.

I look at myself and think, damn you fat fuck, you need to lose some weight. The size thing doesnt really bother me at all because I'm just about where I want to be in relation to muscle, now its just getting ripped that will be the long hard battle with my endomorphic/mesomorphic cracka ass.

that a little hheavy for you??

lol

I aM special darn it.....and people like me

Mind is really fucking with me......of course the Chinese chick at the tanning salon aaid

Long time...where you been?

blah, blah....

You lose weight?

Yes.

How much?

um.....down form 219 to about 204 or so.....

*five second pause*

I like you better b-4...

Damn boy - get on it!!!!

LOL

I used to flipflop back and forth between being bigger and smaller. Couldn't decide which way I looked best. Finally I just made a decision and stuck with it. It has been easier ever since.

You can send me pics for an honest opinion. I would tell you what you want to hear, but rather what is.

Sounds like you are holding SQ water in your dieting attempts, which is often the case for people trying to shed weight quickly. (DNP). Rather than go the harsh sweaty route like that, you should try a tighter diet and longer cardio. (Dont kill me ok?) increase the time period of dropping weight rather than trying to hurry.

lol

Time frame is adjustable - audition on Nov 3rd and I will sacrifice size for cuts...water retention is my problem I think.....using Yohimburn as well......diet is tight

200 g protein
90 g fat
75 grams carbs per day

cardio for 300-400 per session plus weights.....

If you are serious send pm me an email addy and I'll snap some off tomorrow

Ok, you impatient bitch. You don't have to post it twice.... damn! You got my email address.

When are you doing your cardio? Better not be before or after weight sessions. First thing in AM (and that 10 seconds of baby oil and wrist fury is NOT cardio ok) and don't be paying attention to how many "calories" it is saying you burn. Pay attention to the length of the cardio session itself, try for 30-45 minutes at a time, moderate intensity.

Try keeping the reps in the 10-12 range for about 12 sets big groups and 8 sets smaller groups. Don't worry about trying to get any growth out of them, or doing force reps, drop sets, etc.. just use fast sets to chase the pump and keep the atrophy at a minimum. You are not eating enough protein to see new growth or maintain current mass under strenous activity.

If you want to train heavier, to keep the muscle you have now in a prominent state, I would suggest taking a day of rest after each training day. Train one day, rest the next and use that "rest" day for your cardio. The training on Train Days will be cardio enough. And if you REALLY want to see some improvements, start by letting your cardio work be swimming. If you are near UGA try to find a heated indoor swimming pool to use. At the campus (sneak in) or at the Y (sign up for swimming lessons if need be and go when they are not teaching) Swimming is not only the best cardio but the constant twist and roll will get that ab area worked and tight. 8 years of competive swimming through high school and college is the reason I am in the 240 lb range with a 32 inch waist. This past winter, I was around 215 and had a 30.5 inch waist line.
