Unfortunately, the media focuses on the high profile cases like we see in professional sports or the cases of teenagers who are trying to get bigger faster than what is good for them. This is what the public sees and hears about, not the 99% who are hard working citizens and bother noone. State legislatures across the country are following the lead of North Carolina and enacting draconian statutes that assess excise taxes on those who are caught and are entirely sepatate from any criminal proceedings. Sadly, people like Rick can only do so much, so I don't see the hysteria over steroids ebbing anytime soon. However, having Rick in our corner does give one some hope that the tide will eventually change.
I don't mean to come across as overly depressive, but I got hit with the North Carolina statute and am fighting as hard as possible not to lose everything I have to the NC Dept. of Revenue. And I have never hurt anyone in my like, or sold any drugs. Go figure.
