Rice cakes????

They are super high on the glycemic index. Very likely to cause an insulin (over)reaction and sap your energy for a workout in my book.
 
I know this should be on the diet board but I need a quick answer as Im just about to eat my pre training meal and the only things available to me are rice cakes.

What are they like energy wise compared to eating just normal rice? The carb intake is around the same per 100g
 
are you talking about american rice cakes or asian rice cakes?
