reusing pin to draw with

is there any major risk involved in reusing the same pin to draw from your vials with...say you draw with it on monday, then wipe it with a pad and draw with again on friday...and using a new one to inject with. Only drawing with it not injecting with it.

There might be some sterility issues; I don't recommend it; Pins are so cheap so why risk getting an infection or even worse an abcess

You can re-use the same pin to draw, just make sure you dont touch the pin.....usually what some do, is place the plastic cap back on and then take the pin off...

i would assume there is sterility issues and i know everyone will give the exact same advice as you, but i was just curious how truely risky it is. I agree there is no need in taking the risk, although i have.

excellent..thats exactly what i did.

Not a good idea since there will be oil left on the pin that could harbor bacteria, but that may be unlikely since it has BA in it anyhow. I wouldnt take the risk. Pins are dirt cheap. The risk of having to go to the ER for an abcess isnt worth the pennies you save on needles. One trip to the ER can run hundreds of dollars even with insurance, not to mention the pain youll be in etc etc.

You'll be ok...so many re-use the same drawing pin..I usualy just change my drawing pin out once a week...so you figure if you are on a 10 week cycle thats only 10 pins you will have to use to draw with..

i started last week and now im sick...running a fever and everything...i gotta get better quick so i can grow!

Not a good idea. Bacteria can set in.. Dont know why you would even think about doing this..Pins are cheap as are syringes.. Ive seen boxes of 100s on sale for $9.

Why not use a lower gauge to draw from like an 18 or 16? You can use this everytime, and beacuse they are about as big as a harpoon, the pressure is very high and you don't have to wait the same amount of time it takes to read "War And Peace", just to get 1 ml out. PLUS, when you finish loading, you switch and use another, new needle (the 21 or 22 gauge injecting needle), it is fresh....meaning everytime you stick the needle into the rubber stopper, you dull it. Most guys never used a truley fresh needle, because it was dulled by the stopper before it even got to their ass. PLUS, you eliminate any contamination issues that eventually can happen the "other" way.
