who's seen it? i saw the first RE... is this one worth watching?

Better than the 1st but it's not like the 1st was that great.

depends on what your taste is in sci fi horror
i liked the first res evil more, because imo it was more immersive. problem in the Hive, special forces mercs go in, find chaos, find the chick and the traitor, we see that freaky monster thingo, end of movie. simple, entertaining. no worries.
second resident evil went too fast, then too slow, didnt build the characters enough, and had too much of those really really bad cliched one liners
really really over the top characters too, actually. immersivity sucked balls becuase of that. they also didnt stay true to the novels (yes ill read anything, i downloaded them all once upon a time) with respect to things like the STARS etc etc.
anyway, i didnt regret watching it. just that they spent a hundred million bucks etc and could have done a better job, thats all.
