saw the movie for the first time, it was magnificent, I love when movies actually have real endings, not some "great everything worked out perfect as it always does" ending

Any dork with an abcess the size of a baseball would run to the hospital. I could see Jennifer Connely's character becoming a drug ho. The amphetamine psychosis that Ellen Bursten's character went through was totally overdone.

The reality is some people use and get addicted, some people binge and drop it, some people use occasionally. A downward spiral isn't inevitable.
