How should I deal with this? I am pretty sure the guy I've used as my main source (who is a large, reputable supplier of a legit US based UG lab) has turned scammer on me.Up until my most recent order I've always recieved my stuff from the dude in 4 days tops. I send the $$$ by WU and after he picks it up he ships within a day and I get it within 3 days. He doesn't usually send tracking numbers but it is always sent priority mail w/ delivery/tracking info on the boxes.
In late december (most recent order) I sent him money via WU after confirming an order. He picked it up that day. Several days went by, and I emailed him but he never hit me back. Finally he emailed me and apologized, said he was really busy w/ customers and that my order "just went out today" and he comped me for the delay. Okay, that was early last week. Fast forward to Sunday. I decide to send an email asking for the tracking info, right after I send it I notice that he's online checking his email (we use the same server) and invite him to chat. I tell him my package still hasn't arrived, he apologizes, gives me the "i've been swamped lately" speech and PROMISES "Ill send you the tracking number, it may take up to 24 hours though, sorry about the delay again".
Two days go by, I don't recieve any email from him/no tracking number, no package. So I send him an email reminding him of the tracking # promise. Today I still haven't heard anything, package wasn't in my mail box.
That's when the $hit hits the fan--I'm on my email again and notice he's on too. So I invite him to chat like I did a few days ago. The subject of the invite was "hey xxxxx, can you update me/give me the tracking #?". No response. I check and he's still on, but he hasn't responded to my emails nor has he read them. Over the next 15 minutes he's on there I invited him two more times. He never responds. Then I get the message that he has logged out and check my mail to see if he replied. Nope. The guy is ignoring me now.
I have proof of everything I've ever sent him and vice-versa, WU receipts, emails, the boxes, etc. I sent him one last email giving him 24 hours to give me a tracking number, deliver the package or give me a damned good explanation before I considered him 100% scammer.
What can I do ? I know there have to be at least several guys on EF alone who use the guy/know him. I'd like my money or gear but if he is indeed a scammer what can I do to warn others? Like I said, I can and am willing to provide proof. He has a webpage as well (its hidden really well, though, no amount of searching will find it).
I've already completely "cleaned house" in case the authorities come round with the pack in hand or he decides to try and get vengeful on me (i.e. sending contraband and/or anonymously alerting the po-po's). So no worries there. I've been in the game (though new to THIS particular board) since 1996 and have never been scammed, had a seizure, or came into contact with LEO.
Anything in Legal Muscle that discusses this type of thing?
Finally, I have mod friends at other boards that are pretty much begging me to give them his specific info, they claim they can fix this/fix him. I am giving him one last chance though, even though everyone I've talked to has told me I'm being scammed.
