I'm at the time where certain bone joints are wearing out and must be replaced. In 2008 it was my right hip joint. On Dec 10th it will be my left.
I have been pre-op training for this and have my post-op routine ready. I'm going back to Education of a Body Builder routines with super low weights. Then I'll climb back up adding small amounts.
I contacted Clarence Bass who is noted for his ability to get lean and win contests. He went through this and I've read his books and incorporated his training into my workouts. Traded emails.
As for rehab, U of Mich is a premier health organization I use. However, I did not find any PT or PTA at U of M Med-Sports who knew how to use body building exercises and routines. This insurance provided rehab facility treated people to regain their previous sedentary life style. There was no push to gain muscle and strength. I'll use their equipment to get myself out of the house. I want more than to be able to feed the cat. LOL
My point is that Longevity includes replacing key bones and joints later on in life so get ready. This is a growing field of medicine.
That is no excuse to stop training and dieting and recovering. You do have to learn and make adjustments.
