renters insurance?

Any of you have renters insurance? I want to get some coverage because I dont trust the place I live in. It is pretty mismanaged and could burn down or who knows. I have allot of expensive musical equipment as well that I want covered. Do any of you have any info on this? I checked on Yahoo and they gave me a general quote of 250-325 a year for 15k coverage. I wonder if you have to have all reciepts for your possesions or what.

All you should need is a list of what you want insured, you should not need any receipts.
