Registered Mail

Say you get a note left in your mailbox from the post office saying that they have your package and you need to come pick it up because it's registered mail, and needs to be signed for. Is it risky going to pick it up or not? Anyone ever done this before?

That's standard for registered mail. They won't just leave it at your door.
