Regarding Yogurt

Hi,
I have a confession to make - I absolutely love eating aspartame-sweetened, nonfat yogurt, especially as a topper on my oatmeal in the morning. However, I've just read the ingredients and they do include high-fructose corn syrup. Would this be damaging to my diet? (I'm trying to lose about 15-20 lbs of fat) Would a small container a day be okay? I eat cleanly otherwise, the only other thing I think that is processed are lowcarb tortillas. Thank you so much.

There is so little HFCS in fat free yogurts sweetened w/ aspartame that is not a concern

Just enjoy those yogurts :)

There are natural fruit sugars in yogurt. I just make sure there is no added sugar or HFCS type products. There are some splenda versions finally making it to the shelves of grocery stores, also.

That isn't accurate, Anthrax. Especially in a society that profits off of consistently lying to people. C'mon, you know that

I don't remember the exact # but it's something like a few grams (less than 5g) of HFCS per 100g of yogurt

a few grams !

That's negligeable considering that almost all processed food contain high amounts of that crap

and if you're so much afraid of fructose then you'll get much more from fruit than from those yogurts

Peace :)

It is a source of acidiphilous and helps to prevent yeast infections. :)

... I'm sure that made people want to run out & get some.....
