Reference the $300 "Tax Rebate"

$300 bucks won't stimulate shit. It is a dumb idea.

For those of you that insist on blaming someone, (Ryan)recall that the tax refund check idea was originated by Democrats, who were objecting to GWB's tax cut. Democrats preferred the one-shot credit. It was adopted as a compromise between GW's cut and the democrat idea of refunds.

You want economic stimuli? Bring the income tax down to 10% flat, so I can stop working four months for everyone else.

Abolish social security, so we can stop pulling the kids out of college to give Grandma some spending money.

Put those dollars back in my pocket and I wll spend spend spend....of course, consumer spending drives the economy.....but not $300 at a time.

Let's also do some property tax reform....right now, depreciation counts AGAINST an organization when they want to sell a building...let's unclog that and ;let some real estate change hands....

ahh fuck it.......too much pandering for that to ever occur.

True, the 300.OO credit was the Democrat's idea. And, I do agree-----it will do nothing to stimulate the economy.

But, this is still avoiding the real issue: a tax cut at all is nothing but fiscal irresponsibility. The result of the tax cut will be less money for the military, medicare, and social security.

Further, the Democrats argued for "targeted" tax-cuts so that middle class tax-payers could enjoy some real relief---instead the wealthiest Americansa are enjoying this tax cut----undoubtedly a Republican idea.

Drop the graduated Income Tax.
Those earning more should NOT have to pay a higher percentage of their income towards taxes than those who make less.
The wealthy should get more tax relief because they are being disproportionately hit by taxes as it is.
