Rectus femoralis injection??

Outtlaw

New member
Anybody ever have any complications from rectus femoralis injections? Im curious to know before I try it out. For those who arent up on anatamy terms, thats the quad muscle that runs up the middle of the quads from the knee.

Should be all set bro...just make sure you aspirate, the femoral vein and artery are right there...a little deep, but still there. I'd stick to the outside of the leg to be sure.

Yeah, I plan on staying to the outer side. Most of the major viens & arteries Im worried about are more to the inside.

It's rectus femoris (not femoralis) by the way. The -alis's are vastus medialis and vastus lateralis.

(Yes, I'm bored out of my mind...so i make comments like this:) )

Thanks for pointing that out. See I learned my anatomy in spanish, so I just change the ending to make it latin. In spanish its recto femoral...thus I came up with the name rectus femoralis.
