Recovery

So I was recently stabbed about 2 months ago, I needed 20 staples and 25 stitches to the tricep as you can see it wa a mess , I feel my arm is healed a lot more now, I already have my gear on hand as you can see from recent topics but my question is should I workout for a couple months first to get back to where I was or should I do the gear now , I have also heard it would help repair the muscle

Dude. Is this a real question? Take some time off. heal.

Maybe I asked the wrong question? I'm saying my arm feels a lot better now I just wanna know if I should do it now or get some muscle back

^^^ if you want to spend your whole cycle sore and trying to get back in shape/conditioning then go for it.

sorry bro I'm just in a mood today with all the threads from guys who want short cuts to everything. don't take my advice as harsh, I'm someone who tells it as I see it.

muscle memory is very real. take advantage of it

as far as will your problem heal and is it safe to workout? i have no idea. that is something you need to talk over with your doctor. if i had a wound that wasn't 100% healed i would be very careful going to a place like the gym where you can pickup infections easily

It isn't a open wound anymore it is scarred now , but ok I will take your advice I'm due for an ultrasound on it soon to see how it is doing , should be good, fuck I hate goin back and pushing nowhere close to as much as before

You are going to want to take the extra time off to heal properly. If you do not then you might notice some major setbacks from not doing so. This could be in the form of your case your tricep not being able to extend or contract all the way. Or even worse you could end up tearing it, tearing a ligament, or dislocating your shoulder.

Take the time off to make sure that when you hit the gym again you are not pussy footing around.

I got in a motorcycle accident in December. I tore a ligament in my shoulder and has beat up pretty bad. Going against everything I started working out before I was properly healed. Now it is difficult to hit the front trap pose because My ligament healed wrong.

Just my 2 cents
