I am 6 weeks from my rotator cuff surgery. It was hellthe first few weeks. I feel great now. Great range of motion and no pain. I obviously wont start training upper body for a few more months. I dont wna injure anything. I can however do 3 things....Legs, Abs, cardio!!!

Now here is where I need some input guys...

I need to develop a workout routine for Legs, abs. I can workout as many days a weeks as needed or as little as needed.

My idea:

Mon(quads): Leg press
Leg extensions

Wed: abs/calves

Friday(hams): reverse curls, leg curls

Sunday: Abs calves

Light days heavy days? suggestions?

I would split it just the way you have it as far as quads and hams. It's good that everything is going good so far. What does your rehab doc say about when you should start rotator cuff exercises?

I started physical therapy 3 weeks post surgery. No weight just isometrics or concentration exercises. Just getting the flexability back. This week (6 weeks post surgery) I am starting low low low weights and resistance bands for rotator cuff. Im getting quick as recovery according to my PT.

Bgiggest Tools for you:

1) Proper warm up that assures Core Temperature elevation

2) External and Upright rotation exercises after a upper body wokout

3) DO CHEST AND SHOULDERS ALWAY S ON THE SAME DAY NEVER APART

# 3 is key

can i ask why for number 3 bro?...

because you avoid runnning the risk of over training Delt/Trap/rotator complex

you also give the area maximum time to recover

granted indivudiual vary but have had my fair share of cortizone shots
I never needed another after making the change above
