Posted this in another thread but need info here (thanks Prizz for your earlier reply)
On the subject of receptor numbers and sensitivity, why is it that I have never seen any real info on how this happens and how fast they (receptors) recover. Anyone know of any studies done on this or have any personal info to report? ie I was on X substance and it stopped working for me after X time?
Some people seem very knowledeable and scientific with their approach to AS use here, but all I have seen on this is a kinda everyone is different answer, I do not buy that, gimme the facts!!!

1. There is an increase in the AR (androgen receptor) quantitatively at least in response to androgens.

2. There is no down regulation, the receptor doesnt lose "sensitivity."

The secondary effects of transcriptions and coregulators is not well understood however. "Saturating of receptors" occurs at 100 mg qweek of testosterone. There really is a big quetsion mark why more is more in this regard. It is not well understood.

Keep in mind that the stronger anabolics, read anadrol, dianabol, and to some extent testosterone, act trough non androgen receptor mechanisms.
