Is it me or has Reality television gone way out of hand? I remember thinking hey, survivor is alright, reality TV, heh thats cool. American Idol and it's clones and predescessors are not only ruining TV, but most of them are scripted. A recent hollywood study showed that 74% of all Reality TV shows are scripted. That's more than 2/3's. It's a wonder how lazy american's can be.

yeah but they're cheap; you don't need to pay the 'actors' and the 'drama' is made on the fly by low-paid assistants editing the footage.

yea, but realize there are two sides to everything, check out this show called Fast Inc., watch one episode and its meh... alright, but watch 2 or 3 and you understand whats going on, and its really good TV. Its reality, yes, but its released from the chains of the emotional crybabies who unleash all their personal problems into a camera for their own gain, rather, FI follows three guys as they hunt for cars throughout cali for celebs and the such, if you have time to throw away watching american idol, you can make time to catch this gem of a show

I've heard that many reality shows in fact aren't reality shows. They are scripted and well-written. Many people don't realize this.
