Real Question About Emailing People>>>

Call me dumb but is there a way to send an email to like 2000 people through regular emails? I have a letter I want to send out to my members on my site & I have never had to do this. Ever time I try with ziplip or operamail neither will allow that many emails to be sent at the same time??? WHat am I doing wrong seriously...Whomever helps me and it works I have a list of about 30 legit friends for ya...that are all approved.
