Is this OK or not. My order got messed up and I only ended up getting the pins, help a brotha out.

depends if you used them or not...if you have clean plungers then i dont see a problem but dont use the plunger that you already injected with

re-using syringe and plunger is ok- changing out the needle is the concern...after a few doses with the same syringe the rubber plunger will not work well as it deteriorates...it will stick and not slide easily.....no big deal re-using a few times....not the needle....making this clear....

The pins are so cheap and the are delivered fast that there is no need to reuse pins. But...
1. There was a study on diebetics (I think it may be pretty common) that reuse pins and they found that they could not find any issues with it.
2. They also looked at diebetics that shoot through their clothes. So this means that they are no swabbing the site and the pin is going through would could be contaminated material. Again, no issues found.
3. Reusing your own needles and sharing with others that might have HIV is a different story. If you have to reuse needles don't expect alcohol to do the job. The truth is the efficacy of alcohol is not very good and to be effective usually has to be in contact for 20 minutes plus. What is effective is a bleach solution. The details you can look up. It usually is x number of drops in some water. Very effective.
You may ask if alcohol is such a poor microbial agent then why do we always swab the area with alcohol before injecting. The alcohol is also a solvent that wipes bacteria away from the site. That is why they recommend wiping in a circular fashion away from the site. What we are trying to do is reduce the number of bacteria from the site and not sterilize the site.
Also have ever noticed hospitals using alcohol pads before they use an IV on you. No. They use that stuff that makes a mess all over your arm. I think it is betadine. And I think the yellow stuff is Iodine. It may have alcohol in it but the iodine and other chemicals make it much more effective as a microbial agent.

If you have a farm supply store nearby you can aways get pins there. Just say they're for cattle or vet purposes. Thats what I did and didn't even get as much as a funny look.

It might be plausable that locallized abcesses may be more common with IM administration. Since the infection is likely to be trapped. Just a guess though.
with complete pins being so cheap why fool around with using used? and make the company that screwed up your order get it right

You can get 100 needles + syringes for like $20 at a place like GCMedicalsupply,com or wherever. Google on syringes and the overture ads are over on the right. No point in reusing if they're that cheap. Just be sure to get the replacements at your local city needleswap in line w/ all the skinny heroin junkies. "No, jackass, I said 21g 1.5 inch!!!! WTF am I supposed to do w/ these goddamned heroin needles?!?!?!"

I never had a problem with it. Just made sure to clean it with alcohol. Never reuse the needle if you don't absolutely have to. If for no other reason than it gets dull as hell and hurts.
