To narrow it down, how people like Wolfowitz and Rumsfeld get to tell people like Shinseki what to do, and not the other way around.

I am not a military expert nor a political one, but it seems to me that any army general worth his salt has more military expertise in the tip of his pinky finger than those two guys combined.

And those in the armed forces, who deserve so much more than just our respect and thanks, repeatedly have to bend over and take it in the ass from idiots.
