watched beyond the glory on him, that is one angry black man. Reminds me of the anger Jim Brown played with. Brown would always refuse any type of medical treatment after games.

He seems to exude energy and intensity. 250lsbs of angry, intense, energy that moves quick can do a lot of damage.

What exactly did he do? I don't know the whole story on that.

He did not personally kill anyone, but I am sure he knew who did. Two young men were killed and it seems that Lewis's crew was involved.

he was involved in a stabbing of 2 men outside a night club, who both died.

Sounds bad, but I'd have to know all the circumstances to make a judgement call. There are times that I could have stabbed someone and it would have been justified. WHen people start shit, they ask for what they get. But who knows, maybe he is a piece of shit.

He might be a piece of shit, but I don't watch sports because of how people act or what kind of people they are. I watch sports for the athletic competition. Ray Lewis is a fucking animal.

Whole bunch of links out there - read half down in this one:

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2000/06/12/national/main204959.shtml

Lewis, a Baltimore Ravens linebacker, reached a plea agreement with District Attorney Paul Howard last week. He pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor obstruction of justice charge, testified against Oakley and Sweeting, and will serve a year of probation, but no jail time.

Now Lewis is saying he was unjustly cast in a bad light because of this. But he covered for his friends and did not testify against them.

So either Lewis and/or his buddies got away with a couple of murders. No big deal.

and, and, and............ who cares if LT did cocaine and then some. he was a great player and not because of the drugs.

you're right. who cares. I've done cocaine before, so it's not like I'm in a position to judge. nor do I really care what he's done off the field.

The Nature Boy said:
Yeah but did he kill the guys himself? I'm not aware that he did.

The point is nobody is aware if he killed them or his friends killed them (while he stood by and watched).

The truth is buried along with the bodies of the two dead men. Hence the reason why murder (or being culpable) is a bit different than cocaine use.

he should have at least been convicted of being an accessory to the crime.....and personally, i think he probably committed it.

What I think really matters here is that T.O. pwned his ass last week. Funny how you end up liking that fucker when he's on your team.

I hear you.

i respect him for not reacting to TO's touchdown dance. just proving he is more respectable than TO. hes the better man for not stooping to his level.

I personally can't stand Ray Lewis but I commend him for not ratting out friends.

Actually I lived in Atlanta when it happened; was in the news for over a year.

AND? The defense and the prosecution said two totally different things.

And I drew my own conclusion, including the evidence that wasn't admitted.

So paying out $1 million to a daughter of the deceased does not imply anything? If you believe that - then Michael Jackson's "donations" to the those kids' families did not mean anything either.

The settlement compensates the 4-year-old daughter of Richard Lollar, who was stabbed to death in the fight in January 2000. Lollar's fiancée gave birth to the girl shortly thereafter.

Atlanta prosecutors had charged Lewis with murder, felony murder and aggravated assault in the Jan. 31, 2000, stabbing deaths of Lollar, 24, and Jacinth Baker, 21, during a brawl outside a nightclub in the Buckhead section of Atlanta.

The charges were dropped five months later after Lewis agreed to plead guilty to a misdemeanor charge of obstruction of justice. He was sentenced to one year of probation, and testified against his co-defendants, Oakley and Sweeting, who were found not guilty in June 2000. No one else has been charged in the deaths.

And the FACT remains - two men are dead from an altercation that Lewis was involved in, whether first hand or as on-looker. And copping a plea does not bode well for maintaining one's "innocence".

Either way, it is all old news. At least the little girl will get some money to replace the lack of a father in her life.

He's probably the epitome of Mike Tyson on the football field.

Gotta love the intensity.

As far as all the people judging him based on his trial and subsequent exhoneration of guilt, I'm not here to hang the man.......he was found not guilty and I leave it at that.

Unless you know him, I don't think you can really judge him based on what's been put out in the media.

why is everyone saying he didn't rat out his friends. twice on this thread I've read that he made a deal to testify AGAINST them.

My conclusion is that he witnessed it all, but didn't say his friends did the killing, which is why they got off.

damn, you must have done some deep investigating...lol@evidence that wasnt admitted.

You can read the paper and see evidence that wasn't allowed to be admitted as evidence, knucklehead.

There was alot of stuff the jury never heard. Ray knew more than he was saying. So get off my boy DT's ass. I live in Atlanta. I can assure you that Ray knew something. You don't get covered in blood without being involved some how.
