watched beyond the glory on him, that is one angry black man. Reminds me of the anger Jim Brown played with. Brown would always refuse any type of medical treatment after games.

Lewis, a Baltimore Ravens linebacker, reached a plea agreement with District Attorney Paul Howard last week. He pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor obstruction of justice charge, testified against Oakley and Sweeting, and will serve a year of probation, but no jail time.
The Nature Boy said:He might be a piece of shit, but I don't watch sports because of how people act or what kind of people they are. I watch sports for the athletic competition. Ray Lewis is a fucking animal.

jerkbox said:cocaine and murder.......a little different there
The Nature Boy said:Yeah but did he kill the guys himself? I'm not aware that he did.

mekannik said:The point is nobody is aware if he killed them or his friends killed them (while he stood by and watched).
The truth is buried along with the bodies of the two dead men. Hence the reason why murder (or being culpable) is a bit different than cocaine use.

The settlement compensates the 4-year-old daughter of Richard Lollar, who was stabbed to death in the fight in January 2000. Lollar's fiancée gave birth to the girl shortly thereafter.
Atlanta prosecutors had charged Lewis with murder, felony murder and aggravated assault in the Jan. 31, 2000, stabbing deaths of Lollar, 24, and Jacinth Baker, 21, during a brawl outside a nightclub in the Buckhead section of Atlanta.
The charges were dropped five months later after Lewis agreed to plead guilty to a misdemeanor charge of obstruction of justice. He was sentenced to one year of probation, and testified against his co-defendants, Oakley and Sweeting, who were found not guilty in June 2000. No one else has been charged in the deaths.
mekannik said:So paying out $1 million to a daughter of the deceased does not imply anything? If you believe that - then Michael Jackson's "donations" to the those kids' families did not mean anything either.

And the FACT remains - two men are dead from an altercation that Lewis was involved in, whether first hand or as on-looker. And copping a plea does not bode well for maintaining one's "innocence".
Either way, it is all old news. At least the little girl will get some money to replace the lack of a father in her life.

ChewYxRage said:why is everyone saying he didn't rat out his friends. twice on this thread I've read that he made a deal to testify AGAINST them.
