ran out of flax..is safflower oil ok to use for the remaining time up to precontest?

hey i have used flax oil for about 5 months and saw a slight differnce in bodyfat but after that i didnt notice anything big..its when my calories drop --thats when the fat melts..well i need some fat so is safflower oil ok to use on my chicken or fish? i need to be shredded! lots of cardio and 2 carb ups per week
 
Ive used the two and never felt them to be much better or worse than one another... (figured Id answer since no one else did :) )

I usually use flax because I can get it in cinnamon flavor!
 
i was wondering the same thing gladiola... i thought she was the one who was always asking how to get ripped abs :confused: and if i remember right, bikinimom ripped her a new one not too long ago. maybe things have changed?? :confused:

Honestly - I think she is just so confused by everything that she's heard the word "precontest" used around here & used it herself.

Either that or she's doing one of those bikini contests at the local bar! :laugh2:

Congrats Missy, glad to hear that you are finally achieving your goals :) Are you still following NYMuscle's diet and training? I remember you being confused by different people telling you different things, and thus not getting the results you were looking for. How are your abs coming along?
 
they are quite better but im not ripeed..i think im really GENETICALLY predisposed..lol..well im always going to stick to the diet ...mod carbs moderate-low fat and high protein...i didnt cheat and a cheat for me is sugar free ice ...in 2 weeeks my carbs will drop and every 3rd day im carbing up...i would like to post my 5 week out diet,,should i add more fat?


Meal #1
6 egg whites
1/2 cup omelet type vegetables or ½ grapefruit, 4 strawberries)

Meal #2
Protein Drink: 2 scoops Muscle Provider, 3 strawberries, 12 oz water

Meal #3
5 ounces chicken or turkey breast (weighed prior to cooking)
2 cups salad (lettuce, tomato, carrot, cucumber, green peppers, etc.)
2 TBL Cider Vinegar and 1 tsp Sunflower Oil (or other vegetable oil)
for a dressing

Meal #4
6 oz can tuna, 2 egg whites, 1 small carrot or tomato

Meal #5
5 oz lean meat (chicken breast, turkey breast) or 6 oz Fish
1 cup vegetables (green leafy is best here – spinach, asparagus)

Meal #6
6 egg whites
1 cup veggies


Monday and Thursday: Eat in place of your 6th meal at the end of the day: 2 Servings Cream of Rice or 2/3cup cooked rice, 6 oz. sweet potato, 4 oz. banana, 1 cup vegetables, 2 tsp. butter or oil - no supplements with this meal
 
pretty stick diet missy..looks good

ide add more fat ie meal 5 have an egg instead of 2 egg whites.
and meal 2 ..3 strawberries?? ide add a few more..theyre high in fibre and low in carbs

how r you finding your refeeds? ie not putting on too much fat? every 3-5days is quite alot

FYI no where in MY diet i gave missy did i say carb up every 3 days, shes obviously listening to some idioit over on the diet board...

people never learn.

BTW it looks likes some “genius” just copy and pasted the GENERIC diet that Beverly International gives to just about EVERYBODY who asks for a diet, and gave it to missy…id know their style ANYWHERE.

Because I gave you a diet that YOU are supposed to follow not this GENERIC diet that BEVERLY gives to EVERYONE, i lost credibility for BEVERLY many years ago.


Now follow MY diet or just be happy with never having abs....its your choice..I did my part..

NYM many of us asked you to post the diet you designed for missyd- you opted not to. :(
If you had we would blast her with that diet every time she asked a question. ...In a nice way I promise! ;) ...who knows it might benefit someone else!
 
The diet i gave her is so elementary that its almost too easy to mess up, its not rocket science, its just a plan that she needs to follow since she has had NO plan and has followed nothing, after she gives this a try for 4-6 weeks then I told her id kick it up a notch and ill write her out a more advanced diet, more like a "pre contest" diet as she keeps referring to. this is not a pre contest diet, just a plan that she can follow with ease and see results.

1st I want to make sure you know how many cals, and gms of protein, fat and
carbs are in each food you eat, or at least have some idea…buy foods with
nutrition labels so you can see what’s in them….you would be smart to also buy
a calorie counter….go to any book store…in the diet/health section there
should be small little calorie counter books, I think a good one is written
by Corine Nezter (or something very similar to that spelling)…so get one of
those books.

Now im not gonna give you actual meals…most people who eat right and/or
bodybuild like me can actually eat the same meal all day long, what im
saying is you can eat any type of meal any time of the day, for instance just
because its 7am and you are eating breakfast, doesn’t mean you have to have
cereal, or eggs or a breakfast food, you can have tuna or chicken, etc, so
get that into your head and u will do good.

Ill list some foods that are good and u play with them as you like.

Egg whites
Oats or quick oats (not the pre-packaged oatmeal with all that sugar
Sweet potato
Brown rice
Chicken
Turkey breast from the deli
Ground turkey breast
Tuna
All types of fish except i think salmon, as it has a lot of fat I think.
93% lean beef
high fiber cereals

for breakfast you do eat lots of things but here is what I do.

1 cup of quick oats
2-3 scoops of choc whey protein
1-2 tablespoons of peanut butter
3 packs of sweet and low.

For you I would try maybe1/2- 1 cup of oats
1-2 scoops of whey (avg is 22 gms per scoop depending on brand you use)
1 TEASPOON of peanut butter.

2-3 hours later have either some tuna or chicken breasts or maybe a protein
shake with 40-60gms of whey

2-3 hours later try to eat solid food if you had a shake for the 2nd meal (I
like to have solid food, shake, solid food, shake, solid food, shake like
that)

2-3 hours later another shake

2-3 hours some tuna or chicken breast (you can choose from ant meat/protein
source source I listed

you should vary your cals from 9-12 times your body weight so (9x130) 1170
cals…..and (12x130) 1560 cals…vary low and high cal days..save the high cal
days for the days you workout, only do 2 high cal days a week

I want you to try to get 150-175gms of protein per day
About 40 gms of fat
And about 75-100 gms of carbs.

Don’t eat late at night, eat your last meal atleast 1-2 hours b4 bed, or if u
cant then have a small protein shake..i like to stop eating by 9pm and in bed
by 10pm and up at 5am for cardio.

Try to eat 5-6 times a day and try to get and equal amount of cals in each
meal for example if you ate 5 meals and did lets say 1400 cals that day each
meal should be 1/5(20%) or around there of the total cals so 1/5th of 1400 =
280 cals per meal…that may seem low and it is, but its ok to go higher as
long as you don’t go over that particular days calories….when you drink just
a shake it will only be like 200 cals or so, so you can add the extra cals to
the solid meals and eat more.. maybe 300+ cals per meal.

I want you to do this and every day for 7 days write down EXACTLY what you
ate, with the total cals, protein/fat/carb grams, so I can look at what you
are doing.

*********my note as of 4/26/02 ive yet to get the 7 day report I asked her for**************

(then after I gave this diet to missy she replied with a few questions and I answered them here)

You can have about 25 gms of dextrose and 30-50gms of whey post workout

I usually have one cheat day a week, usually sat nights and I eat a few slices
of pizza…so one cheat meal once a week.

After a month if you like you can do a “re-feed” and have around 250gms of
carbs and about 150gms of protein.

Ya know I feel bad for Missy cause of all the shit talken people seem ta do to her. And I see how she could easily get confused by all the different advice that's been thrown her way.
But Missy I just don't get why your not taking NY's advise. Don't get me wrong, I'm not the type ta sit here and ridicule anyone. I think it's great that you're trying ta better yourself. But sweetie you can't just mix and match the things you like/dislike in a nutrition plan or routine. And it's not very often ya find someone who will take this much time out of their day ta help a stranger reach their fitness goals (As you've seen already by some of the comments that's been directed your way) All I'm saying is listen to NY, STICK to his plan and don't take ta heart ANY of the negative comments that you may receive. Good Luck!!!! And in a couple of months we want ta see the new Missyd w/ ripped abs and all. :)

thanks guys ..i do follow NY muscles diet --its just that in 3 weeks i will up it a notch and do the precontest w/carb ups....and also what type of speial fat you use i f i dont have flax..i will usually have 2 tbs of oill or nuts..is that good? and i dont have sugar postworkout..just a low carb shake ..35 protein grams...

Missy if you CARB up you will GET FAT…now I KNOW you understand FAT right?

You wanna get fat and never have abs ? then do the carb ups ;) have fun.


Do my diet for 4-6 weeks and THEN ill give you a real contest diet and none of this STUPID carb up nonsense, you aren’t some big bodybuilder, you are a 130lb 20yr old girl hun.

i think that is the part of Missy that confuses us all... and why most people have given up on her. Missy... why are you doing a fitness competition, if you just want to have the Britney Spears body :confused: don't get me wrong, I think Britney has a nice body... but by no means does she look like a fitness competitor/model. what exactly ARE your goals?

NYM is right - you don't need to do carb-ups for a fitness competion.

And quite frankly if you think you NEED them, for some reason, keep 'em under 100 grams, and lower the carbs on the downcycle, and maybe spread out how often you do them.

I checked out the pic - you're very cute - and browsed the thread, and you were talking about 500 gram carb loads. That is WAY too much.

Ripped abs take work, not genetics, and carb-ups won't help much.

well im doin NYm diet for the remaining time until 5 weeks out ...it starts may 8...then i will just follow the bev precontest diet i posted...but they suggested a carb up and it wont store as fat do to the low carbs and low calorie..mabye i just should eliminate the carb ups and just add more healthy fats..then at 3 weeks out i can carb up on thursday nights instead of monday and thursdays
