Rambo:First Blood part 2

franco columbo was sly's stand in on rocky 4 when he was training in Russia and doing those crazy situps.

Rambo is a great motivater for me when i need to do cardio. I watch it on DVD and all of a sudden i have more desire to train harder.

One reason it worked is because it is based on the myth of the hero:

Hero travels fron extreme heights to extreme underworld depths

Survives wounds that should kill him.

Shadowy figure(girl) becomes ally

etc...

Yep, gotta agree with you. First one was really, really good. Probably Stalllones best movie after Rocky.

Second one was total shit.

Part 3 was fun in a stupid way. I liked that russian gunship. :)

uh, lil vietamese kid(Satanic Goat) came over and said shine, shine

I said no

But my buddy said sure

so I went up to get a beer, and the box was wired, and it blew his body his all over da place..

I started screaming-omg I cant find you legs, I cant find your legs

I see the same thing every day, I cant get it out my head...

FEAR THE BAD KARMA

I'm not scared. :D

I don't understand how someone could say "baby killer supporter" because of this movie. Keeping in mind that it was complete fiction and unrealistic in ways only Hollywood could portray, I think it did offer a small piece of insight into the difficulty that many post-Vietnam vets had with readjusting to society. A way for them to vent frustrations about trying to fit back into a world that spit on them.

Were there any blockbuster movies other than the first Rambo without any female characters (lead or supporting)?
