yeah so last week i got bit on the hand by a pretty mangy looking squirrel. just barely broke the skin at 3 points, just a little blood. rabies is supposed to be pretty rare in squirrels.

i think i'm gonna leave my fate up to chance and not go get the rabies vaccine. chances are i'm fine, but if i end up dying, boy would my face be red. i would be a mess too.

anyone ever get rabies from squirrels?

i already got lyme disease from a deer tick, and that left me with some permanent nerve damage and some other nice stuff, so i'm thinking i'll probably be lucky this time and not get the animal-borne illness.

Lyme disease is actually similar to syphilis. Or maybe it is chlamydia. I forget which.
Either way, both my dad and his dog got lyme disease - the dog got it twice. Because of that, they both now have arthritis - the dog has it much worse. Poor thing.
I also feel bad for giving the clap to the dog after I got it from the groundhog.

I didn't mean by symptoms - I meant in terms of what the bacteria looks like.

I have had many of the symptoms for lyme disease for about 10 years now.

I got bit by a dog a few years back. Took the rabies shots for safety's sake.

Eleven shots altogether. 3 in my right hip and three in my left hip and one in my arm on the first visit. Then I had 1 each week in my arm for 4 weeks.

Never did catch that fucking dog!

well i had a cup full of granola and i was sitting in the middle of campus feeding some pigeons, and then the squirrels came over and fought the pigeons off so they could get some. i was sitting on some steps and had the cup up on my lap, then a squirrel ran up my leg and sat on my hand, eating out of the cup. he was pretty friendly, so i let him stay, then i got some granola in my other hand to give to another squirrel. well that squirrel started nibbling on my finger gently, so i pulled my hand away when he latched onto my finger with his teeth. i jerked my hand up in the air and the squirrel went flying up, doing a few flips in the air.

he left 3 tiny punture marks that just barely broke the skin. i think only one of the holes was really from his mouth, the others were too far away and were probably from his claws.

the funny thing is, my friend was also bitten by another squirrel a few minutes later. he had peanut butter on his finger and the motherfucker gave him some good chomps. he was bleeding all over.

they say you're supposed to get itching around the bite area, but i haven't experienced anything like that.
