r-ALA dose....

What is the dose of r-ALA per carb ratio?

Anyone want to post their dosing?
 
I take in about 3 grams of r-ALA everyday. The amount I take actually depends on what kind of carbs Im taking in. Fast carbs I will take a 500mg dose about 20 minutes before hand and 500mg with the meal. Slow carbs is reversed... 500mg with a meal and about a half hour later another 500mg. This has worked well for me.

Damn, that is 30 Glucorell R caps.

Thats a bit overkill and EXPENSIVE
 
I tend to use a bit more r-ALA then 1 cap per 30~40 mg carbs too - but then I don't care so much about the cost AND the effects are like MAGIC in my total body fat. r-ALA is the BEST sup (then prolly t-rexx) to reduce my gut to a flat 6 pack.
 
new pump can you elaborate on how to use the r-ALA in this sense becasue i am not seeing it as much i take 2 caps in the morning and 20 with every actual meal... and i dont see shit
 
Hey crunches - I can elaborate. I'm using GlucocerellR (as Macro suggests in his post). Keep in mind that I'm an "older" guy (mid 30's) so my metabolism may be different from yours. When I was in my teens/early twenties, I could eat whatever I wanted and not gain fat... well, I hit about 26 and lost that "magic" :). the r-ALA brings me (almost) back to my earlier years in my ability to eat a little "less clean" (more carbs etc). I generally take 2 caps with a CLEAN meal (like eggs, water in the morning) and up to 5 or 6 caps JUST prior to stuffing my face with my first bite of every other meal. If the meals are high carb (sandwiches with bread etc) I will lean toward more pills (5 or 6). I don't go over that amount though - the max I take in one day is about 30 or so (considering 5~6 meals). I think the key is to take it RIGHT (I MEAN right) before your first bite of the food. I'm not sure how long the insulin effect lasts (can you help out here Macro?) but I don't believe it is too long. Thats about all I can think of - hit the post again if you need me to clarify anything!
 
so.. what your saying is by doing that you are losing massive bodyfat? I thought the r-ALA is there to get more "food" into the muscles.
 
Crunch, what I am saying is that r-ALA helped take me from 18% bodyfat down to around 12% (I'm guessing now - haven't had it measured in a while). It is just a tool in the arsenal (still gotta eat cleaner, work out with intensity etc). WITHOUT r-ALA, I was not able to get down to the bodyfat I am at now, given my current habbits. Also, if I STOP taking r-ALA my bodyfat goes back up (again with my current habbits). Basically, it helps me a LOT - and allows me to eat a bit more "reasonably" to my lifestyle.
