Have you been drinking those creatin products with added sugar? The theory, in layman's terms, was that the sugar caused insulin release, which increased the muscles' absorption of creatine. According to a recent study published in the Journal of Applied Physiology, however, after the second day of consuming the creatine/sugar combo, the advantage of adding carbohydrate to increase the uptake of creatine was lost. At that point, taking regular creatine monohydrate powder would be just as effective ...

Whatd you diet experts think of this? I have been taking creatine with dextose and/or maltodextrin postworkout for years now. Have I been wasting my time/money??

Once I bought a container of SportPharma Creatine Monohydrate.... which almost completely pure, I believe.... and was taking it by itself because (believe it or not) I actually forgot that you're meant to take it with dextrose or some other sugar.

So I was just shovelling a teaspoon into my mouth after each workout....

.... and it seemed to work as effectively as Crea-Vol ATP and the other creatine stuff I've tried.

No way.. damn!

I am thinking about doing this... since I am cutting.. 10g creatine + 5g glutamine immediately after training.. 30 minutes of cardio.. and then 20g whey + 50g dextrose + maltodextrin combo..

Good idea or no?
