Just courious.... If you tell your doctor you are on anabolic steroids and you would like blood work done. What would you ask him or her to check for in your blood work to make sure you are not damageing any part of your body?

Thanks

just get an entire blood work panel it doesn't cost anything more and it will tell you everything that is flagged, in the red

I would tell him you want a physical. You dont need to tell him what your doing. I imagine your using your Ins.You really dont want this on your records. You will be able to see your liver values and your cholesteral levels. These items can be elevated while on. If your interested in your hormone levels thats a
different panel and additional blood will be needed. The hormone panels is not in a typical physical so you will have to request it.
You could tell your Dr. that your tired and have a low sex drive and want to check your test, estrodial, dht, prog.

I agree with laser 100 percent. Why give out information that you don't have to?

regardless of patient rights, it will go on your medical record, and you will have a very hard time recieving insurance, and it will be at a high price

I dont have to worry about my insureance because I am in a union, so no matter what I am on or if I have substance abuse problem my insurance would NEVER go up and I would NEVER lose it... And I am really not worried about whats on my medical record either. So, again what kind of things would I want my doctor to check for in my blood while I am on gear. Oh ya, just so you know I have already told my Doctor I have done steroid cycles before. I do not think there is any need to lie about it in my opinion.

Insurance companies do not have any info from your medical records. Even if they did, they would have no idea who your Dr was to call and get the info from. There are new HIPPA laws that keep Drs fro giving info out. We are not even allowed to give ANY info out to a persons spouce if we were not told we could. There is no such place as a medical record board where an insurance Co can go to look up info on you. I personally tell my Dr the truth about what I use and how much I use. They know what tests to order, thats their job. Just level with him so you can be sure you are in good health.

Thats good to know Latamier. I was wondering especially since
every Dr. visit anymore has you signing all these new privacy
laws. I use my hmo once a year for free blood work the rest of the year I see a sports Dr. He has a CBC, lipid panel, free and total
test, esterdial, dht, and now I am going to ask for prog. I think
your liver values are on the cbc but if they arent he always has
that done also. almost forgot psa for your prostate
