Quick Question for my Girlfriend

John G

New member
She wants to try to add some lean muscle mass, I recommended Winstrol or anavar. What dosage should she try with the least or zero side effects.

Obviously, it would be best to know a little more about your girlfriend before actually recommending a specific dosage. If, however, I had to advise a dosage on those substances without knowing anything about her (height, weight, diet, previous AAS experience, workout schedule, etc), I'd say stick to 5-10mg of anavar, and 12.5mg/EOD (or less) of winstrol. Also, I would not do them both at the same time, just pick one. If I were picking one for you, it would be the var - winstrol was tough on my girl - she stopped taking it after only 2 weeks because of the sides.

True, I would never put my girlfriend on steroids.

Unless you wanted to put less work into giving her pleasure (read clit-enhancing properties of androgens on women ;) ). jk bro.

By all means, if you feel comfortable with your woman taking MALE hormones, have at it buddy! Maybe you can shave her chest hair after workouts.

I'm not going to get into a flame war with you fellas, but you should go check out the Women's forum sometime. When my girl was interested in learning more about the responsible, effective, safe use of anabolics about 3 years ago, there was a wealth of info there, and plenty of support for the route she chose. No, she doesn't compete, but neither do any of you, and I'm sure you've all done cycles.

As I mentioned above, low dose anavar is one of the safest things out there - most women use it first before any other drug. You could literally stay on it all year long and not compromise a single aspect of your health (within reason of course). Remember, I'm not talking about test, deca, and gh here, although if you investigated it, you'd find that all three of those, in very low dosages, can also provide great results for some recreational female users.

Read up fellas, then post - not the reverse. Don't let your opinions cloud what is reality and fact.

True that. Lots of misinformation on this thread, as usual when it comes to women and steroids.
This is why we have a "Womens forum".
It keeps the teenage boys that barely know how to cycle themselves from giving women bad advice.

Oh boy.

First, to the inital poster, we GOTTA have more info to give advice. Based off your post, the best advice for her is a clean diet, a solid workout plan, lotsa water, and rest. MAYBE a thermogenic. Then come back in a couple years to try drugs.

Drugs are not the answer. She won't get shit for results unless she eats clean and trains her ass off (literally!). Eat a ton of lean meat, fibrous carbs, healthy fats. I doubt her diet and training right now can justify taking a steroid.

Steroids don't give anyone a reason to slack off, they will not make up for a sloppy diet or half-ass training. If she isn't already dedicated, then F the steroids, she needs to reevaluate her priorities before starting to take AS.

Info to include on your girl - height, weight, exact BF%, training history, current workout (weights and cardio), diet information (plus sample day's diet), WHY does she want to add muscle? (does she want to compete? too look good in bikini?, because you want her to?, etc) , and anything else relevant.

Next, women CAN take steroids without becoming a man. It takes a LOT of research and common sense though. A women taking steroids will gain the same benefits as a man taking, as long as the correct training and diet is in place. Of course, that goes for both sexes. Where women get into trouble is not doing their OWN research, instead letting a man decide what they will take and how much.

Steroids can affect women different than man in some regards though. For example, Winny is NOT a cutting drug in *most* women. It will add muscle and bloat - not cut. It also has a tendency to add many unwanted sides to the female. Winny is typically NOT a good choice for the average female.

Anavar is the safest. REAL anavar. It offers the most anabolic with fewest sides. BUT, everyone is different and some women get sides even on a very low dose. Side affects are typically mild with Var, but can happen. When ever someone takes ANY AAS, they need to know what the possible effects are (good and bad) and decide what is worth it for them. Do the risks outweigh the benefit?

Var can be started at 5mg ED, stay there for 3-4 weeks, then bump up IF NEEDED. Most women can tolerate more, but if they are seeing results - why risk it? More is not always better. Start low, and slowly work up. Be safe, take things slow, or you WILL have a he-she on your hands.

And, as a side note, I am a female, have done several cycles, and am still as feminine as they come. I have had no sides (besides a little sex drive increase!!! :) ) AS and females is NOT a bad combination. It's when you add stupidity to that when you get trouble. Women can take AS safely (and NOT turn into a man), but it takes more patience and more research. We don't have a big margin of error! BUT, with that said, at the risk of sounding like a total hypocrit, I don't think most females should take AS. I think most females have a jacked-up diet (no fat, carb heavy, low protein) and shitty training routine (cardio bunny!). They could get more results without drgus and just cleaning up their diet.

Damn, I'm cranky today. Must be the hours upon hours of being at the Olympia this weekend! :)

I will quote your reply because you seem to be the one who likes to assume things and provide the least information.

IN regards to me condoning or being comfortable with my girlfriending using Anabolics I do not condone or feel comfortable. However she is an Adult and makes her own choices. I have expressed my feelings to her about it and feel that she doesn't even need it.

Secondly, I apologize for not providing enough information. Being on the boards for awhile I should have known better.

Her current stats are as follows:
135lbs 5'10
Bodyfat: 12 to 15% You can see her upper abs and slightly see the lower portion. She is lean and muscular. She wants to fill out but not water weight. In other words she wants to stay lean but be alittle bigger and fuller. She trains Four to Five times a week with little or no cardio at all. She has a naturally fast metabolism. I recommended 5mg to start Anavar. Should she run it for a full 8 weeks?

How long has she been training, and what's her diet like? If she has only been training for a short period of time, I'd highly recommend she just be patient and stick with the training. Also, how does she train? Does she focus on compound movements or isolation work? There's a lot she can do with training and diet...

a good idea is to try to get her on the boards to do her own research... there's a lot of good info on here and lots of people who can answer her specific questions...

that said, i'll second the anavar, and add to all those against girls and AS that i've done a 16+ week cycle (the ability to run extended cycles is one of the good things about being female) of low dose ana with great results, a few sides (nosebleeds and pimples), remained a healthy FEMALE :) and now have a perfectly healthy daughter (i conceived 6m after ending my cycle)...

all and all, ignorance is one's worst enemy, so let your girl do her research and make an informed decision on what goes into her body...

phem
