how do i change an image to black and white? it seems so simple but i can't figure it out!

good question, i cant ever find it... i just creat a new (grayscale) pic, then cut and paste it into the black and white

u go blavk and white since u dont have a tan?

i do have a tan... but you can always see more definition when its black and white... plus there is too much lighting in my room

Either Mode - Grayscale, or hit command+shift+U (ctrl+shift+U on a PC), and that desaturates the photo. Turning it into grayscale shrinks the size down significantly, if that's what you're going for.
