It is a fat-loss drug. It can raise your metabolism rate by 50%, in which you can burn a 1 lb fat per day. Flip side: An overdose of it can kill you. It raises your body temp as well. DNP is an insecticide and it was first used in 1930 as an OTC weight loss drug.
Also, it was first used to ignite TNT (dynamite) back in the early 1900's. In 1931, Stanford Univ. released a study declaring it an excellent weight loss drug. It was in all kinds of OTC weight loss products. Two years later, FDA banned it because it was dangerous and could cause cataracts. The phenols in it are carcinogenic (cancerous).
