Hey,
Lately I've been doing something that's a little more maintenance-ish with my diet, and something that I can do for long term,
pretty much I still eat really clean, but I'm less anal about planning things out exactly. Like I'm pretty much eating a protein and a carb for every meal, and I usually have 5-6 meals a day. I also throw in vegtables and fats.
I don't have any set amount of calories I take in, or any of that robotic shit, I just eat based on my hunger, which varies from day to day,
but usually I don't eat too much or too little this way, and it works out pretty good.
anyways, my question is, sometimes I crave more fats than I do carbs, like for my meals at the end of the day for instance, maybe because i havent gotten enough fats in yet?? i dunno. but anyways what I'm wondering is,
is it alright to eat things like nuts whenever you want if you are hungry for them?
is there any risk that your body will have a harder time staying lean if you do this?
if you think about it, you take in twice as many calories per volume with fats than you do carbs, but does your stomach know this? or do you end up eating more cals total?
like my brother always tells me to look at the eskimos. They usually are a little chubbier than your average culture, and i guess my bro thinks its because their diet consists of a lot higher fat ratio than the average diet, because fats are their primary resource up in alaska.
so, hmmm... if your body is craving a fair amount of fats, does this mean you have to suppress those cravings if you want to look normal?
or does your stomach and body know what is best for you, getting enough, but not too much.
somethin to stew on... whatta ya guys think?
