Question re hip pain

I know this is the anabolic board but was wondering if there was anyone who has experienced this pain and how they may have fixed it. I get pain in both hips, right at the hip joint, sore to the point where it hurts to touch or sleep on either one of them. I feel it when I am deadlifting or squatting and it hurts like hell. I think I did the damage a few years back during a powerlifting stint, the guy that was coaching me had me doing 500lb triples, off the box, so I was reaching all the way down to my feet to grab the deadlift bar. I eat glucosamine, msm, and chondroitine like they are pez, but it hasn't gotten significantly better.

Most probably caused by inflamation of the tendons. Unusual place to hurt since the tendons are very strong but anything is possible with 500lbs. A bit of rest and icing it would be good. U should get a doc to take a look at it. If the injury is healed and it still hurts, it's scar tissue that is the culprit. In this case look into ART- active release technic. Helped me big time. Good luck..sometimes injuries can be a bitch to heal..especially tendons cause they take a long time.

Thanks

When I did go see my Dr. he told me it was likely inflamation and told me to take ibuprofin to heal it, i did, it didn't do shit. I was thinking about some deep massage therapy, the really painful kind, to remove the scar tissue

I used 4 advils to kill the pain at times but this is not the way to go. Rest is important here....minimum of 3 weeks. Then start coming back slow...and I mean slow...cause u don't want it to act up again. A standard rule i found is very light weight...3 sets 15 reps...starts to restrengthen the tendons. Increase a bit each week. U can probably train upper body no problem. Remember a rule of thumb...if something really hurts when u are doing it...DON'T! U'll just be making it worst and longer to recover. That was my mistake...it's very hard to stop. Scar tissue cannot be remove short of surgery and I don't think u want that. What u need to do get a therapist to give u that ACT (which will F#$#n hurt). What it ends up doing is smoothening out the scar tissue and making it elastic and flexible. Stretch alot too. Ice packs every time you train. Get to the healing ASAP. The faster u do the faster u can deadlift 500lbs again...and yes it is possible. U just have to be extra careful..warmup properly and stuff like that. :)

Great advice

Unfortunately I may have to wait a little bit before following it as I'm doing asa for basically the first time and my strength levels are skyrocketing to the point where those 500lb triples will be a warmup soon. Anytime I rested it in the past it didn't seem to heal though.

That may be scar tissue that's never been smoothened out. It becomes hard to tell when it's hurt and when it's scar tissue. If it feels like a knife is being jabbed into u it's probably hurt...if more tightness and stiffness with pain probably scar tissue...

It's more of a sharp pain then anything. I'm using dbol 30mg/ed for 4 weeks, with sust 500mg for eight weeks.
