Question for you bouncers...

I tried doing a search on this and didnt really find this specific question asked so Im gonna ask it

How did you guys get your jobs? Im thinking of applying to be a bouncer at a couple smaller clubs here and Im not sure how to go about it...do you need to get hooked up usually to get these jobs? just go in during the day and ask for the manager?

Ive never applied or had any expierence in this type of job before and Im wondering if they will even hire me without ever having done that type of thing before. The only thing Id have going for me is I am a pretty big guy which Im hoping would cover some of the lack of expierence and everything

Any tips or tricks from the bros already doing it? or you just gonna tell me to get my pussy ass in there and apply?

Pick the club you wanna work at. Go to it quite often, learn to know the staff....Bouncers, waitresses, bartenders..etc.

Ask often about the job, clearly show you have a good head, not a bully, and display skills in talking with people.

I cannot stress this enough, being a Bouncers isn't about kicking the shit out of someone, it's all about preventing that from ever happening. Though you must know, it still happens and the use of force is a common drawback of the job.

Drinkers, stinkers, tokers and jokers are a no go......Consider starting out at the door checking ID's and work your way inside as a Bouncer, fill in when other guys are off....Once your name is known, and people know that you're a decent guy, you won't have any trouble getting jobs at clubs, concerts and festivals...
