I personally saw nothing from GH (on for 8 months up to competition) except better sleep and babysoft skin. But I know some other competitors down here that *claim* GH on for 6-12 months will make you leaner then you can ever be, it looks that way too, but I dont know if I would personally point the finger at there diet or the GH. Probably both. If that helps at all.
I think adding GH to my past precontest regime allowed me to consume more calories than before and still get down to competition bodyfat %. This was great cause I was still able to eat a serving of oatmeal and a sweet potato pretty much every day all the way up to showtime which the times before I had to cut out weeks before. I also still could throw in some peanut butter here and there with out it killing me.
