Question for people who use Dextrose

I have a question about dextrose. I know how much I should be consuming. The problem that I have is how many grams of dextrose is in each teaspoon of dextrose. SO if I need 50 grams of dextrose how many tablespoons do I take. The bag that I have only has "Dextrose" on the side of it adn dosen't have any nutritional information on it. Any help would be greatly appreciated
 
If you fill up an ON 100% whey scoop with dextrose, it weighs about 36 grams...that makes it easier for me :)
 
I have another question for everyone. I take creatine on my days off . On those days do I ues dextrose as well or is that too much sugar on a day that I don't workout on. Also how much water do I mix the creatine in. I have been mixing it in one liter. Also I have heard some people take creatine before their work out as well as after. If someone does this do they take the dextrose with both doses of creatine. Or just the one after the workout. If the answer is both how much dextrose with each dose. Any help is greatly appreciated
 
The only reason most people take dextrose is to give them a pwo spike to help muscle growth and recovery. So no you don't need to be taking any on your off days. I'm assuming you're taking creatine monohydrate? If so, it doesnt really matter how much water you take in at the time of consuming the creatine, but make sure to drink a gallon of water throughout the day. Many people take creatine both before and after, it's really a matter of personal preference. You also don't need to be taking any dextrose pre wo, just take in some protein ( a must) and carbs from fruits or something if you feel you need the energy boost. The best pwo carb mix is claimed to be a 50/50 ratio of dextrose and maltodextrin, and you should take anywhere from 50-100 grams of carbs from these two sources pwo depending on your body weight.
