Question for people in UK

Has anyone had blood work done in the UK. How do you go about getting it done. Can you just walk into the doctors and ask them, or do you need to have an excuse?? Cheers

Answer

You need to find out about any local drug user clinics in your area. Usually they will be operating a needle exchange as well so you can get free syringes. They will also give you details of NHS clinics which offer free bloodwork and liver function tests. They will treat you with complete respect and offer only help and advice knowing they cannot dissuade you from what decisions you have made. CLASH in London, is my local and its fantastic. You can call the National Drugs helpline to give you information about clinics in your area.

is right. Either call the National Drug helpline or find your closes drop in point. They have many leaflets and are always helpful to locate blood tests etc. The will also supply free pins in exchange.
They do not judge you and are there to help.

Not sure where you are in the UK but in London there are many of these places.

I get my pins from a drug rehab centre in Newcastle, so i will ask in there next time im there. Cheers
