Question about Whey protein

New member
I've been looking at a few different manufactures and not all of them have amino acids posted on the side. Does that mean that product doesn't have it or do they all have it?

Thank you

How important is it to take protein shakes? Everyone just tells me to eat all your protein from food and don't mess with the bars and shakes. I'm also trying to prep for college football so i'm just eating everything in sight, probably not what most of you do.

I'd say if its not listed then its not in there.

Since your question is about 'whey protein' then the answer is YES as ALL protein is composed of amino acids (8 essential and 12 non-essential).

If the manufacturer has not listed the amino acid profile for your particular product then you have a couple of options:
  • contact the manufacturer and request an amino acid profile of the product ... or
  • purchase another product which meets your requirements.

Set your protein intake at a level of 1 gram of protein per pound of lean body mass (LBM) and not total body weight. If your workouts are intense, then you can increase this level further to 1.5 g/LBM.
