Question about getting something from UPS

Say they deliver a package to my home today while I'm at work and they give it to my neighbor instead....What happens if my neighbor keeps it for himself and doesnt give it to me. What can I do?

Start with kicking your neighbor's candy ass.

The tracking should show what happened to the package.

Call UPS, get the tracking number of the Pkg.
Print off the "SIGNED BY" info on the UPS website
Present it to the Neighbor

Next step will be Depending on their reponse,

X-B is correct...UPS usually leaves you a note saying they left the package at such-n-such's addy too!

According to UPS regulations, the package belongs to the one who got it....

If your neighbor signs for it, then possibly they can be held liable but it would have to be a dollar amount worth prosecuting. Plus you could file a complaint with ups and their insurance possibly may cover it. If something from ups is accidentally dropped off at your place and its not yours but they think it is, and your not home to sign for it, they can bitch a lot but theres nothing they can do. Ups will also leave packages at your place without anyone being home time to time. Every situation is different. Im currently yelling at them because I bought a porno and the box came fuking empty. You could tell it had been cut open. Some stupid kid slinging boxes for them stole my fucking tape. I am currently threatening "terrorist" like activities to get there attention. There assholes. But not nearly as bad as fedx they are the worse of the worse!

Well i got my bench today. Now i just have to assemble it. I didnt have to worry about it being left at a neighbors house, they left it on my front porch for me.

Uh, if you own a home, your next door neighbor isn't normally a "stranger", you may not be best buds, but it's pretty common to leave something with them, and often safer than just sitting on your porch.
