yes it does, only in the top back side of the head where most people start losing their hair.

Thanks, I've lost some over the past few years and have been using 12.5% and 5% minoxidil to gain some back and keep the rest, but figured I'd try something new

I'll tell you something, since I've been using it for the past 4 weeks, I've noticed that it has decreased the amount of the hair that I was losing. How do I know, well when showering run your fingers through your hair when you are shampooing, if you are losing hair, you'll see bunch of hair on your hands, but once you start using propecia, the amount of hair will be significantly decreased or none existant. Or even look at your pillow...do you see hair on it? That will be gone too!

In the experience of two men I know who're taking it (one who's 25, and one who's 30), it does regrow hair, and all over the head, not just at the top back. Pretty dramatic results for the 30 year old in particular - he's been balding since his early twenties, and after 6 weeks on propecia, everyone was asking him if he'd gotten plugs. He was downright giddy.
