question about filtering Fina

I went through 6 syringe filters and I couldn't even filter half of the fina that I had made (264 ml total). I read somewhere that it takes 5-10 min to filter 25 cc of oil. Is this true? The oil is barely leaking through the filter one drop at a time after filtering 15 cc of fina. Not to mention that I cracked a few filter by excessive force. Are my filters cloged? How can I speed up the process?

i just went thru the same pain in the ass broke 3 filters, pieces of cheap shit. i heated my oil first but still filter got clogged and broke?

Did you pre filter it with a coffee filter, just let it drain through the coffee filter into the bottle(takes a day or so) then filter with syringe

Make sure you are only pullin up the oil that is on top of the gooey layers. If you are trying to push the gooey stuff through the filters, you will clog them everytime.

use a smaller barrel syringe...you can generate a hell of alot more pressure with a 10ml syringe than with a 60ml (think about force applied vs. surface area of plunger, and how much less PSI is generated with the wide 60ml bore). If need be just use a 3cc syringe and reload it a few dozen times.

with the smaller syringe the challenge is actually not to push the stuff through too fast.

I have tried everything...I finally gave up and ordered 10 filters. I should have it in a couple of days. I heated the damn think, I coffee filtered it, I used 3 cc syringe (which by the way the oil flew out from the preasure and sprayed all over my face). The 25 cc syringe is way stronger.
