Question about domestic shipping

This is an example, but everyone should understand where I am coming from..


Lets say someone had a package shipped from Ohio to FL. For some reason the package never made it. It was either lost in the mail or opened at the post office for whatever reason. Its been over a week. Since you want to be on the safe side of course you won't ship to the same address again. Do you think it would be fine to have the same person re-ship to a different address? The address is in another town and zip code. Should the source ship thru another post office, just incase?

Typical turn around time for the US Post Ofiice is 12 business days. Also if it is a domestic package then there should always be a tracking #. Ask your source for a tracking # so you can find out where it is...

the package has been tracked. it is confirmed it has either been lost or opened. it left the state it was shipped from, was returned to sender for some reason and is now still in the original state for over a week. i think its a loss.

You would be surprised how innaccurate their tracking is. I wouldnt count it lost just yet. I have seen priority packages with delivery confirmation take 4 weeks.
