question about customs

i recently moved from sweden to norway. when i go home a always take the bus. the first time i took the bus from sweden to norway the customs came on the bus whit their dogs looking for drugs and stuff like that. just the dogs sniffing.

I was wondering, can the dogs smell out steroids?

no because they would be barking at any man they saw. After all we are all walking bottles of test. however, i suppose with a dogs acute sense of smell he could be trained to detect the odor of certain oils. as far as pills go, i know that the dogs are trained to sniff out the smell of talcum, a common buffer in most pills. so u never know. use your better judgement on this one. cnahces are though that you'll be safe

It shows they're capable of smelling progesterone but the text refers to a pregnant woman who touched an object and the smell was only available briefly.

I remember watching a program where they studied a dogs scent detection ability under certain odors placed on target objects that they had to find the smell of and they couldn't discern the smell. So an internet search may help you find what odors that might be.
I'm just talking out my ass here though, i'm not 100% sure on any of this.

Take it from someone who knows someone that knows a guy who has brought a ton of gear through the borders and this guy I know does know for sure that dogs cannot smell anabolic androgenic steroids cuz if they could he would be in a federal pen somewhere right now.
